Camper in Leadership Training (CILT)
THE CILT PROGRAM
Camp James offers a wonderful CILT program for high school students (14 – 17 year olds including incoming high school students). The program is designed to give teens the opportunity to build leadership skills and introduce work skills that will help with future employment. Some schools will even accept their volunteer hours as community service hours, which many high schools now require (check with your school for verification).
In order to be eligible to become a CILT, you must attend at least 3 weeks of camp (5 full days per week). The weeks do not need to be consecutive. Camp in 2023 will operate from June 5th – August 11th.
CILTs are expected to be dropped off between 8:20 – 9 AM and picked up between 4 – 4:30 PM.
Participants must be in high school and/or an incoming freshman. Documentation will be required. There is no tuition for the CILT program, but there is a $90 registration fee, which includes two CILT shirts.
You will be expected to swim everyday as well as actively participate in all of our activities (see the list of camper activities on our website).
Still interested? You will need to fill out the online application and attend a group interview (let us know if you can’t make it to now of the group interview dates – we can set up a “virtual” interview).
Our CILT Program is Full and no longer accepting applications for the summer of 2023
