As we march forward toward summer, Mama Llama and I have the fortunate job of meeting with and re-interviewing our returning staff. Often parents are surprised by this process of re-interviewing. It really allows us to generate new ideas, see what our amazing staff are up to in what we call the off-season, and to make sure that they are ready to bring back their awsome selves to camp. We have added STEM as an activity this year. Many of our returning staff have planned some creative and imaginative activities that we are looking forward to putting into production this summer. Last fall, our own Dr. Z was selected and participated in a NASA sponsored program in Florida regarding STEM and has a host of terrific activities we will bring to camp. The theme for our first week of camp is called CAMP CREATION as we work and play towards creating friendships, building strong bodies (by swimming, kayaking, climbing the wall) , participating in weird science, and definitely Lego Challenges will be happening. Speaking of Legos… I don’t know about you all, but I can’t wait to see The Lego Movie this weekend. It has an all-star cast including Morgan Freeman (I could listen to him read the ingredients on the Captain Crunch box all day long). Happy Tuesday to all!
